These are fulltime W-2 positions and NOT part time or consultant/1099 positions. 

GovSG is looking for SAP ERP module experts that can configure and engineer, modules  and sustain the NAVY ERP system of record while demonstrating forward looking knowledge in support of both PEO MLB NETSS program and NAVWAR’s EBO providing Tier 2 and 3 support to the program.  Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is an SAP-based system and is the Department of the Navy’s (DON) financial and supply information technology system of record. Deployment implementations have concluded, and the Program is now in its primarily in the sustainment phase, but efforts continue to expand and improve functionality, and a migration to S4/HANA may be in the future. Program Executive Office for Manpower, Logistics and Business Solutions (PEO MLB) PMW 220 was designated to provide sustainment services, including lifecycle management, stabilization, optimization, and audit readiness. 

These positions provide expert level business process guidance on Navy ERP’s SAP requirements and design. They provide design/configuration/eng of business processes in SAP.  SME’s will automate specific module business functions and provide customization and engineering functions within modules. SME’s will translate business process flows to configuration and design functions within a module.

 

Duties (Description of daily duties):

All module SME’s provide expert level business process guidance and execution on SAP requirements and design.  Responsible for designing/configuring business processes in SAP. Requires strong organization and communication skills and knowledge of SAP functional areas. Module experts provide functional subject matter expertise in applicable module areas that may include areas such as financial management,  inventory management, supply planning, provisioning, sales, quality, logistics, general ledger, funds management, supply chain, project management, maintenance, transportation, and personnel.  Introduces innovative approaches and methodologies for processes and support systems. May provide leadership to large teams of functional or technical personnel.

 

SAP ERP Functional Analysts: support analysis of existing systems and changes that impact the specific NERP SAP ERP module. Participates in workshops with operational system owners to document NERP relevant processes and gain an understanding of areas of concern within the system. Provides subject matter expertise in data flows into, within, and out of the system. Support documentation of requirements. Supports discussion of prospective solutions internally and with vendors.  

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Participates in workshops with operational system owners across commands to gain an understanding of impact in module.
  • Designs/Develops/Engineers/Configures modules to meet mission needs
  • Provides module expertise to inform display types and flow of sensitive data into and out of module.
  • Contributes to documentation (Project requirements matrix, functional and technical requirements, mapping of data flows and business processes)

 

Desired Skills:

  • Preferred experience working with handling classified data and security classification guides (SCG)
  • Preferred experience working with Navy and Marine Corps Information Systems
  • Preferred experience working with interfaces between enterprise business systems
  • SAP Certification in 1 or more modules
  • Specific experience in Navy ERP General and Working Capital funds highly desired
  • Experience as a Lead Tester in unit and integration testing, to include preparing test plans and documenting results, and communicating results to end users
  • Experience writing Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Technical Design Specifications (TDS), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Conversion Programs, Interfaces, end-to-end Process Maps, and Technical White papers for SAP-based ERP solutions

Required Specialized Experience:

 

Junior SAP Analyst:

  • Four (4) or more years of SAP module experience (FI, FM, OF, SCM, PS, MM, SMD, SD, WFM). Possesses Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience in one or more functional/module area.
  • Requires strong organization and communication skills.
  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments demonstrating configuration.
  • Plans and leads major technology assignments and can work independently to execute assignments.
  • Evaluates performance results and recommendsexecutes major engineering changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments and must demonstrate expert level work within the resume
  • Experience in software development lifecycle surrounding requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, documentation, test (unit, functional, integration, regression, stress, and user acceptance), implementation, and post production support of standard and custom business solutions supporting SAP modules (in a Tier 3 environment/Engineering) is preferred.  SAP basic help desk support does not qualify.
  • Federal experience required (DoD experience preferred)
  • Experience in software development lifecycle surrounding requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, documentation, testing (unit, functional, integration, regression, stress, and user acceptance), implementation, and post production support of standard and custom business solutions supporting SAP modules is preferred.

 

Senior SAP Analyst:

  • Ten (10) or more years of SAP module experience (FI, FM, OF, SCM, PS, MM, SMD, SD, WFM). Possesses Subject Matter Expert (SME) experience in one or more functional/module area.
  • Requires strong organization and communication skills.
  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments demonstrating configuration.
  • Plans and leads major technology assignments and can work independently to execute assignments.
  • Evaluates performance results and recommendsexecutes major engineering changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments and must demonstrate expert level work within the resume

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a recognized technical, engineering, scientific, managerial, business, or other discipline related to area of expertise. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.

Special Requirements:

Must be a US Citizen (no dual citizens) and have the ability to possess an active DoD secret clearance at the start date.

Salary:  $100,000-$185,000. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
