Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is an SAP-based system and is the Department of the Navy’s (DON) financial and supply information technology system of record. Deployment implementations have concluded, and the Program is now in its sustainment phase, although efforts continue to expand and improve functionality. Program Executive Office for Manpower, Logistics and Business Solutions (PEO MLB) PMW 220 was designated to provide sustainment services, including lifecycle management, stabilization, optimization, and audit readiness.

 

Duties (Description of daily duties):

Master SAP Solution Architect: Serves as the principal technical expert on complex and challenging information technology projects. May be assigned as team leader on tasks of various technical disciplines or may work alone or as part of a team of Developers, with responsibility for design and development of computer software applications and/or database systems, evaluation of computer hardware and software, planning for communications and information requirements, system test, and system security. Provides consulting during early planning and conceptual stages of large, complex projects. May participate in any phase of major projects from problem definition through problem resolution, and from feasibility analysis through project implementation. Frequently supports several tasks concurrently and evaluates problems of work-flow, organization, and planning, and develops appropriate corrective actions and prepares and performs presentations at technical interchange meetings and project design reviews. Reports orally and in writing to the Program Manager, Project Manager, contractor management, and government representatives. In the absence of the Program Manager or Project Manager, may serve as the Contractor's authorized interface with the Contracting Officer's Representative/ Technical Representative (COR/COTR), government management personnel, and agency representatives. Develops architectural artifacts when required.  Supports the cloud AWS strategy.

 

 

Senior SAP Solutions Architect: Provides expertise and guidance on the overall SAP Technology Infrastructure as it relates to IT and business strategies.  Evaluate, develop and maintain SAP infrastructure roadmap to reduce overall complexity and increase cost efficiency. Maintain expertise in the area of SAP architecture including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure corporate assets are optimized.

SAP Solution Architect is a senior level SAP ABAP/RICE coder or Multi Module SME lead; supports analysis of security classification guides (SCG) impact across the SAP implementation. Participates in workshops with operational system owners to document relevant processes and gain an understanding of areas of concern within the system. Provides subject matter expertise around display of data, data flows into, within, and out of the system. Support documentation of requirements. Supports discussion of prospective solutions internally and with vendors.  Develops architectural artifacts when required.  Supports the cloud AWS strategy.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Participates in workshops with operational system owners across commands to gain an understanding of security classification guides and their impacts across NAVY ERP.
  • Provides RICEFW expertise to team members performing data discovery/impact assessment.
  • Supports data discovery efforts by providing analysis of display and flow of sensitive data.
  • Contributes to documentation (Project requirements matrix, functional and technical requirements, LOE, mapping of data flows and business processes)
  • Technically Architects existing and next generation systems
  • Develops and defends forward looking strategy within the program
  • Develops architectural documentation
  • Presents strategic solutions to the technical team

 

 

Desired Skills:

  • Preferred experience working with handling classified data and security classification guides (SCG)
  • Preferred experience working with Naval information systems
  • Preferred experience working with interfaces between enterprise business systems
  • Previous knowledge or work experience with CRS/CS/IPAC/CIR Navy Systems

Required Specialized Experience:

Master:

  • Fifteen (15) or more years in a software discipline.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in SAP or other ERP equivalent COTS.
  • Thorough knowledge in SAP Infrastructure with emphasis on SAP Basis, Security, Change management, SAP Integration technologies, Development Workbench, Memory management, and Workload management within SAP CCMS. Well-versed with SAP Data Dictionary, SAP Solution Manager, Transport management and Oracle physical design for SAP.
  • Has knowledgeable with the HP-UX UNIX, Oracle RDBMS and Windows 2000 and 2003 platforms. Knowledgeable in Web Infrastructure, SAP Integration Layers and NetWeaver Architecture.
  • Experience developing with one or more of the following: ABAP, SAP BW, Fiori, JAVA, or .NET.
  • Has experience in SAP Sizing, Workload characterization and Capacity Planning.
  • Shows strong communication skills both oral and written, with all levels of the organization.
  • Has Excellent teamwork skills, including working with internal and external departments and organizations; Experience with virtual, cross-functional teams with track record of delivering results.
  • Provided technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
  • Established goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Demonstrated SAP domain and expert technical knowledge.
  • Has directed and controled activities for customers, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve customer negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
  • Demontrates decision making and domain knowledge that has had critical impact on overall project implementations.
  • Has supervised others.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Cloud Technologies
  • Demostrates understanding of DOD architecture framework (DODAF) or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)

 

 

These resources require privileged access and require a PAA form and an SSBI.

 

Senior:

  • 10+ years of technical and strategic experience of increasing responsibility providing software engineering, planning, design, analysis, and developing complex software models and applications across multiple hardware and software platforms
  • 5+ years in multiple SAP disciplines and post production support
  • Demonstrated the ability in the application of functional and technical expertise to improve the performance of the business; resolution of functional and technical integration issues across SAP modules.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Cloud Technologies
  • Demostrates understanding of DOD architecture framework (DODAF) or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF)
  • Experience developing with one or more of the following: ABAP, SAP BW, Fiori, JAVA, or .NET.
  • Knowledge in SAP Infrastructure and Architecture with an emphasis on SAP Basis, Security, Change management, SAP Integration technologies, Development Workbench, Memory management, and Workload management within SAP CCMS.   • Federal experience required (DoD experience preferred)
  • DoD clearance required (must be clearable)

 

Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in a recognized technical, engineering, scientific, managerial, business, or other discipline related to area of expertise; an Associates Degree together with two (2) years of documented relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelors Degree.

 

Special Requirements: Must be a US Citizen and ability to possess an DoD secret clearance at start date.

 

Salary:  $130,000-$210,000. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
